New Mecho Tales Screenshots and Exclusive Information
Big thanks to Oyaji Games’ creative director and designer Luc Bernard who’s sent us three more screenshots from his forthcoming Mecho Tales mini, just to tide us over following the recent news that the game has been delayed along with his other two upcoming minis, SteamPirates and Mecho Wars. Luc’s also given us this exclusive information about one very interesting aspect of Mecho Tales’ level design:
“The game will have infinite levels. How will that work? There will be a story mode with all levels designed by Oyaji Games. And then there will be a mode that will have infinite level designs, a level generator that will generate a new level every time you play. So you will never play the same level twice.”
Whoa. That looks cool. The random level generator will be nice, too.
random level regenerator sounds like a game-seller for me. Looks great fun.

Yes, look as game for childs, not interesting graphics (like from windows paint)…
i think the art style of Luc Bernard is actually a little bit dark and creepy.
i dont know what to expect from it, but i know i want to play it.

so dont go saying “look as game for childs” because to me an evil saw wielding robotic ballerina is increadibly freaky and would scar children for life.
to me, luc bernard seems to be a dark artist, and somewhat twisted.

Yes, there are many platform games for adults (but are not on psp yet, for example Metal Slug, or never will be on psp, for example Turrican)
‘looks childish’ is the worst complaint I have ever heard. Are you afraid of being judged if you play a game with a childish art style? JUST GET OVER IT.
It’s hilarious how some people think any platform game is only tailored to one demographic. Want to be an adult? Go out side and get a fucking job.
This could be another wolf in sheeps clothing,i remember my reaction when i saw advance wars and little big planet,i judged it to be soo childish because of the graphics,in the end,i ended up begging my mom to buy me both games(during the GBA time for advance wars,and just a couple months ago for LBP both psp and ps3) since i chose another one
The style kind of reminds me of kid chameleon.
But LBP from the begining looks as professional game with rendered 3D graphics…
thats cause it had a large TEAM of people working on it, djax,
this is just one guy, and its very impressive.
i wouldn’t compare the gameplay to lbp,
to me, this looks like megaman.
oh yeah,the old megaman,sort of a megaman-ish graphic,that was when games werent so complicated when you just have to memorize the attack pattern of the boss,..
sorry for posting twice but i forgot to include that i didnt compare this to LBP,i was just saying that this could be a wolf in sheeps clothing and i dont want the experience of being deceived by a game by its looks again,that’s why i always read every review,try every demo and see every video of the game,..
