Normal Tanks – Upcoming Mini
Following on from our previous news story this week, Beatshapers has confirmed that Normal Tanks will be its next mini, and that the game is due for release on March 18th in the European store, with the North American release date to be announced soon. This is what Beatshapers had to say about the game in their press release:
“Normal Tanks is a fast-paced multi-directional top-down arcade shooter in a tanks universe featuring classic run ‘n’ gun gameplay with three difficulty settings.
There are eight challenging, dynamic and hazardous environments to tackle. Over 30 different enemies including various tanks, helicopters, robots and biomechanical creatures await your challenge! Crash, kill and destroy them all to move forward. By using special power-ups, you can upgrade your tank abilities – cannon, machine gun and armor – to help you progress.”
The online version of the game received an honorable mention at this year’s Independent Game Festival, so it will be interesting to see how well it transfers over to the PSP and PS3. Liking the look of those explosions though!

i’d like to know how they intend to port the controls,
if it uses the traditional face buttons shoot i dont think ill buy it,
unlike the other multi-directional shooters on the psp, this one doesnt seem to be one where you fight hordes, thus, as jeremyR previously stated, precision is essential (though i havent played it myself)
Looks like im gonna be buying 2 minis next week. This and Rocket Racing.
Actually, it’s not coming out till March 18, at least for the EU. However, yes, I would agree with you. They both look awesome. And I’m getting Rocket Racing next week, and Normal Tanks when it comes out for US….

don’t compare to pc because it’s pretty useless if you do that. there are so much games on the internet that are free on pc and are minis on pc, for example vertor TD and normal tanks. I don’t play games on pc! Only on psp and wii XD. So you know what I mean…?!

i actually barely understand what you mean,
in my opinion videogames are videogames.
yeah I am not so good in explaining xD! But I just want to say that I only look to wii and psp games…
so not to pc etc.
