Normal Tanks – Upcoming Mini

Some great detective work by Polish PSP website PSP Team has unearthed details and possibly a You Tube video of a forthcoming new mini to be published by BreakQuest developer Beatshapers. PSP Team has spotted a PEGI rating for a PSP Go game called Normal Tanks by Beatshapers, which is rated for ages 7 and up by PEGI, and which is “an action packed overhead shooter” according to the game’s website.  There’s been no official confirmation about Normal Tanks from Beatshapers so far, but a little Ukrainian birdie may have hinted to us that the PSP Team story is right on the money. ;-)  Either way, expect an announcement soon from Beatshapers about a new mini, which may possibly involve tanks. Normal ones.

    I wonder if that name lost something in translation. But looks quite good

    Well, tried the PC version (which seems to be free from that site) and it’s fun, but I wonder how well it will translate to the PSP?

    You have to move your tank around and shoot at the same time, which is problematic on the PSP, since it’s only got the one nub. I guess nub to shoot, face buttons to move is the best, but that’s kind of awkward. I don’t see how the opposite would work, since you need to be real precise shooting, just 8 directions won’t cut it.

    Wow, Reminds me of the old NES game Iron Tank. Used to love that game!

    @jeremyR
    ive never seen why developers dont just add the option to flip the screen upside down (and the player would obviously also flip their psp too), so you can move using the face button, but it wouldent be so awkward because you’d still be moving with your left hand,
    the only problem with that now, is that it would still be kinda awkward for pspgo users, having the screen below the buttons.
