Vektar Beat – Upcoming Mini

Just Add Water, the Yorkshire, UK, developer behind PSP and PS3 game Gravity Crash, has just announced that it is in the process of developing a minis series called Vektar, featuring minis that will all be based on a particular visual style. The hint is in the name, apparently. Hmm.
According to a news post on Just Add Water’s website, the first game in the series will be a “rhythm/puzzle game” called Vektar Beat, which is due for release in late April/early May. At present that’s pretty much all the information there is on the game, but JAW says it will be posting a development diary on its site as soon as possible, including some screenshots hopefully. Joystiq has also posted a brief news story about Vektar Beat, including exclusive information that JAW plans on only charging around $1 for the game, which is great news if the company is able to pull it off.

Really looking forward to seeing what exactly Vaktar Beat is, and to see what else Just Add Water have planned with the Vaktar series. The best bit though is that they are planning to go for the lowest price point they can.
The “exclusive information” that Joystiq has though really isn’t exclusive, and if you want to call it exclusive then you are quoting the wrong source. That information came from the PlayStation Nation podcast when they interviewed Just Add Water’s Stewart Gilray in the latest episode. Really worth listening to the interview to hear Stewart talking about Gravity Crash and what they have planned for the Minis and their ideas on Mini pricing.

so its a series of games featuring vector graphics.
Yep, I think so!
price sounds laavely
interesting..
I am playing games without sound…
Always nice to get more minis, but I wish developers had a bit more variety. This is what, the 4th mini in the same basic genre (puzzle/music) – Melodybloxx, Cascade Block Fusion, Groovin Blocks that are upcoming, plus Kurulion Fusion (already out).
I guess we’ll see if their 2nd title in the series is “Vektar Zombie” and the 3rd “Vektar Tower Defense” (which actually exists, come to think of it, under the American spelling)
Then again, had they started developing DSi games, their first title probaby would have been Vektar Sudoku
lol, is it bad that i really want to play vecktar zombie?
