PlayStation Store Update – 7th January 2010

1 new mini this week.

We heard about it a while ago and now it’s here. This is Football Management aims to provide months of fun as you choose from 92 clubs and lead them to glory in the league and cups, building a stronger team with careful wheeling and dealing in the transfer market to build a squad capable of winning every trophy in its path.

It should be noted that there was one other mini released this week, Mots croisés. As it was only available in Belgium, France, Luxembourg and Switzerland, we will only be covering it if it comes to the UK or North America.

  1. “Mots Croisés” is a French crossword game. Its puzzles are from famous crossword author Lucien Lacau.

    It is functionally similar to “Telegraph Crosswords”, which has been reviewed here. We made both games with the same engine.

    There’s also a German version called “Kreuzworträtsel – Welt Edition”, branded with “Die Welt” and whose puzzles are provided by famous author Stefan Heine.

    Ah, that solves that mystery.

    I was wondering how a PSP Mini Football manager game could compete with the Sega one. Then I saw the price for the Sega one – as much as a full price PSP game, despite only be 33 megabytes or so.

    I’ve always wished such games came out for NA sports – baseball or American football. They look neat, but…it’s soccer. For the life of me I can’t figure out how a game like that can even have any stats, since the scoring is so low.
