Picbox Gameplay Video Released

This is an upcoming puzzle game for PS Mobile from Stinky Badger Games, ported from XBLIG. I have no idea what is happening in the video, but it looks pretty fun.

Apparently it’s already been submitted to the Store and is “preparing for release,” which likely means it will be out in a week or two.

This game is called “Picross”. It’s a quite popular puzzle that you can find on a newspaper or a Crosswords book. There are also many videogames about it, like Picross DS.
I don’t really know the mechanics, but it’s pretty fun, as you said.

I think I figured it out. The numbers on the top and left side are the numbers of contiguous highlighted squares you’re supposed to have in the column or row below/adjacent to the number. If there are periods (for rows) or newlines (for columns) separating multiple numbers, that means that there are multiple contiguous segments in that row/column, with the specified number of squares per segment.

Definitely not getting this then. Picross is confusing as hell to me, as is Minesweeper.

Hi guys, thanks for featuring my game! This is a nonogram game (as is Nintendo’s Picross). The discription of how you play above is correct.

The basic game is free to download, and grants unrestricted acces to 24 puzzles (8 of each size). You can then unlock the full game via an inapp purchase.

I hope it’ll be out on 3rd July update, but it might be the week after.

    Thanks again,

    Liam
